Elly Dotseth's Ruminations
I was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. My family moved to the San Francisco Bay Area when I was four years old. California has been my home ever since. I was fortunate to have a stable home life, and to have been afforded the opportunity to attend the University of California in Santa Barbara, where I studied a wide variety of subjects before declaring a major in Anthropology. I was married to my college sweetheart not long after graduation. That was in 1978. Now I find myself a single woman once again, but with a lot more experience and I hope wisdom!

I decided to start this website and begin blogging on a more regular basis because I am uncomfortable with the social media platforms that want short posts and invite people to say things that are sometimes unkind. My goal is to bring up ideas and topics that might provoke thoughtful give and take communication.
